Two separate things

It's easy to conflate "this site has ads" with "vendors pay to be listed" — they're not the same thing here, and keeping that distinction clear is the whole point of this page.

How the site is funded

jompasarmalam runs display advertising and affiliate links (for example, links to food-delivery or travel-booking services relevant to a market's location) to cover hosting and running costs. What this does not affect

No pasar malam vendor, market operator, or third party pays us to be listed, to rank higher, or to be featured. A market's position in any list on this site is driven by real signals — review counts, ratings, how recently the listing was confirmed — never by payment.
